Every waste tank additive company claims that their product breaks down, dissolves, or liquifies waste. When it does, however, it creates a sludge or thick, pancake-like batter in the black tank and makes it harder to keep your RV’s holding tanks completely clean.

These additives make a big “mess” in your tanks.They can stop tank sensors from reading accurately. They allow waste to “pile up” and create problems such as odors, drainage problems, and even clogs and mounds. There has to be a better solution! There is. Try this instead:

Mix eight ounces of Calgon Ageless Bath Pearls and 40 ounces of PINE-SOL® in a one-gallon jug. Fill the jug with water. Shake gently and allow any foam to settle down. Use four to eight ounces (as directed) in each tank, every time you have emptied them.
