It’s time to get your bus fleet’s holding tanks truly “kleen”

Truth is, your buses in your fleet have waste holding tanks just like the thousands of RV holding tanks we’ve cleaned in the past six years. In fact, some of the same RVs we’ve cleaned are the same or similar models as your buses. So we know what types of problems you’re experiencing — persistent smells, tanks that never seem clean, slow draining tanks, and clogs and mounds.

How are holding tanks constructed?
Holding tanks use gravity to empty them of their contents. The bottom slopes down to the front collection point. The exit pipe is either in the middle or toward one side of the front of the holding tank. There are a few factors that make getting – and keeping – your holding tanks clean a frustration:

Common holding tank problems

  • Tanks and plumbing systems that smell
  • Slow-draining tanks or tanks that never seem to empty
  • Clogs or mounds in the holding tanks or at the bottom of the toilet

Tank additives don’t help the situation
These additives are doing just what they are intended to do – break down solid material. Solids and other waste become a thick, sticky sludge. This makes getting – and keeping – your holding tanks clean a much harder job. Only periodic hydrojetting truly gets the tanks clean.

Which tanks tend to have more problems?

  • Buses that are older than three years old
  • Where you are the second or third owner
  • Buses used full time or in harsh conditions

What does Kleen Tank do?
Extremely high-pressure water and specially-designed, proprietary cleaning nozzles hydrojet your bus’ holding tank clean. This process completely loosens everything; we literally scrub all of the internal surfaces of the holding tank. Once cleaned, the tank is backflushed until it “runs clear.” This normally takes two to five backflushes, but more will be used on especially dirty tanks. Our process takes about an hour per tank to complete. This process is:

  • Affordable and recommended by most coach manufacturers
  • 100% mobile – we come to you
  • Environmentally safe – we use only 100% water to clean your tanks
  • Creates very little to no mess
  • Requires full hookups (water, electric, and sewer dump)
